Marissa Mayer believes in the power of possibility and authentically inspiring others. Through art, human connection, and constant self-exploration, she strives to motivate those around her.
Marissa is originally from Los Angeles where she studied dance and theatre with industry professionals throughout the city. At fifteen, she was one of 20 dancers chosen to attend the nationally acclaimed LA County High School for the Arts. She studied classical and contemporary ballet, jazz, modern, and musical theatre from some of the greatest teachers around including Fiona Lummis (NDT), and Don Martin (Original Alvin Ailey Member). Marissa went on to receive her B.A. in Musical Theatre with a Minor in Dance from Point Park University where she performed in multiple musicals through the Conservatory and Pittsburgh Playhouse Jr. While in Pittsburgh, she also worked with Prime Stage Theatre and the Pittsburgh CLO Cabaret.
After graduation, Marissa lived in NYC where she performed in various cabarets at 54 Below, Don't Tell Mama, and the West End. She also spent six months training with Lindsay Mendez and Ryan Scott Oliver's workshop, Actor Therapy.
She recently moved back to LA, and has since performed in West Side Story and Mary Poppins at the Glendale Center Theatre, CATS at the California Theatre, and is currently in South Pacific at the Rubicon Theatre in Ventura, CA. She is a proud EMC member.
